One thing that many World of Warcraft players don’t seem to understand is just how much money can be made just from looting the auction house on a regular basis. It’s quite incredible once you get a decent bankroll how much gold there is to be had. I’ve personally been able to go from 20 gold to 200+ gold in just a couple days playing the auction house. It’s ridiculous. It’s a great way to keep an alt char useful when you aren’t playing it regularly.
The best part of playing the auction house is that the more money you have, the more you can make. It’s kind of like playing the stock market. Your earnings compound over time and once you start leveraging what you make, it will absolutely explode from there.
Recently I was playing my auction character and went from about 100 gold to over 700 gold in a weekend. I’ve plowed that money back into the auction house and when all my loot sells, I’ll probably be over 1,000 maybe even in the 1,500 range. This character is a level 20 and started with 50 gold a week or two ago. This is from doing nothing other than playing the auction house for about 20 minutes a day or less.
I expect to hit in the 5-10k range of gold within the next month. My goal is to have that char hit 100,000 gold this year. We’ll see if it can be done, but I’m sure that I’ll get there. It’s only a matter of time at this point.
Oh and if you’re wondering how I got rolling, it’s real simple. I used Luke’s WoW Gold Secrets Guide. The section on the auction house alone was well worth the money. It’s a lot cheaper than buying gold and it won’t get you banned.
